#93, And I just love the sound of that engine. A good friend of mine had a 1997 which he let me drove a couple of times. He sold it and apparently, the head gasket blew about 2 weeks later.

#103, Hm, I may consider this as a daily driver (2.5 engine would put it in the 'over 1600cc' class with GTiRs, STis and Evos so it wouldn't be a good choice for amateur rally): I wonder how difficult it is to find one in good condition around here.

Edit: Fuck this... you can buy a good one for 3000USD... in the States <:(

#106, then the post 1993 models had a 2.5L V6 developed by Ford, right.

#105, Nice daily driver : comfortable, lots of seat support, nice interior/exterior design, suprisingly lots of space. Not a good rally candidate at all !

#106, 190 lb-ft on that turbo engine ! I drove one about 3 years ago. The torque steer was incredible but it could be attributed to the car being VERY beaten up all around.

#108, actually, both gens were Mazdas underneath, right down to the drivetrain I believe.

#111, I know they were basically Mazdas, but I thought the 2.5 was a Ford engine.

#111, Wasn't the 2.5L developped after the Yamaha 3.0L and then used in the Contours ? I could be very wrong.

#109, I'm looking for a daily driver. Even if I decide against gutting the Frog (as I probably will... it's my only car for now and those 10-20kg won't make me faster: I still have LOTS to learn before that small a weight advantage will make a difference) the thing is simply too cramped for me... not to mention those custom shocks I ordered make the ride harsh on bumpy Polish roads. And I plan on stiffening the suspension even more.
