That is one beat up Grand Marquis, guess it's a three way race to see what kills it first, the junk tires, the rust, or the owner

That's an LTD. A '79, to be exact. My parents had a '79 LTD when I was little, a pea green four door. It was a cool beater.

Ah, I see it now, the grille has both vertical and horizontal bars, Marquis only have verticals, just smack me for that.........

Gran Marquis also had bigger headlights with no turn signals underneath, and their corner signal lights stuck out further.

it's a two door, you don't see too many, it would be a great sleeper after a diet and some perfomance upgrades to the 5.0 and if its 79 its not fuel injected , easier to tune a carb

#8, Now then, to complete the sleeper image, do you ditch or keep the home-made bike/luggage rack?

my first car was the family's 86 country squire wagon, with the HO 5.0 and dual exhaust , and more bumper stickers than any ricer could even imagine, now it wasnt a drag car, but that thing sure as hell was fun, pretty fast two

There's a black '79 two door parked in the woods nearby me, a guy I know owns it. I've considered talking him into selling it to me and then rebuilding it with some goodies in the running gear, minor trim removal, and Torque Thrusts.

My family never had an old boat like this, we had a midsize car, but LOTS of trucks to make up for it

#14, My family was just the opposite. We always needed a truck, but we didn't get one until I was about 13 (a ragged '85 Nissan King cab). It ran pretty good after we replaced the motor. :P

We've owned a 78' Dodge 1/2 ton and an 89' Ford F-250 XLT, our cars were a succession of Honda sedans/hatchbacks
