I've always liked SHOs. Dunno why. These and SVT Contours are the only good FWD cars Ford has ever made, in my opinion.

yep, and they're plagued with the Taurus and Contour names too...such a shame.

SHOs are great, great cars. Talk about your sleepers. As a rule, any Ford with letters after its name other than GT is pretty damn good. Examples: Thunderbird SC, Taurus SHO, Escort ZX2 (hey, they're fun to drive and they've got potential) Contour SVT, Mustang LX (sleeperiffic) and Mustang Mach 1 428 CJ.

Want a big FWD American car? Try a Oldsmobile Toranado, the largest wheelbase FWD car ever built to my knowledge. And it had the biggest V8 in it Olds offered!

The really funny thing is we have a few Tauruses out here and no one not even half the people driving them know that they are FWD.

The reason they made them FWD is because They found out if you turn the engine to the side (Connecting with the front wheels), it takes less hp to turn the wheels than V8s, It raised the Fuel Economy and made faster cars with less hp and displacement
