how quick are they? the whole design of the car just looks like it was meant for cruising, not racing...but i guess it could be plenty quick, oh yeah, and has the gas tank ever blown up if a kid on a bike rear-ended you or something :) |

#5, The problem wasn't THAT bad with most old cars, mainly just Pintos. My dad's Nova has a rear-fill gas tank too. If they put them in new cars, they'd probaby explode with a kid on a bike, because new cars and the metal used are CRAP compared to the quality of old cars. |

mostly pintos? what about the big-ass scandal with the old mustangs...their gas tanks would rupture in a mild collision? |

#7 - you mean the mustang II? does that share the same platform as the pinto? The pinto was the most famous exploding car... see the movie 'Top Secret'. |

#7, The "Mustangs" that Ford made in the mid- to late-70's aren't real Mustangs in my book. Same with the 80's up until 1989. |

#9 - what's wrong with the early carbed Fox body GTs - ie, 1985? Can be built up pretty nicely. Also the '86s-'88s, while only speed density, were still fast and fun cars. Can be converted to MAF if you want. |

It is a cruiser, but it has a 289 HiPO. It will sure as shit beat a type r wearing, oversize wing using civic, integra or whatever. I'm always just crusing on a Saturday and one of these stupid rice boys want to race at a light. Well I give them a chance and they lose. It is not a race car buy any means it's a classic with orginal American power. |
