My 79' F-body Project car as it looked right off the trailer, rescued it from certain death in New Jersey where it was rotting in a back yard, hope to finish it in a year or so

#17, The interior is the major hold up on this car, every single piece of it from the dash, to the steering wheel to the seats, the carpet, the sound deadener and insulstion, the vynil kick panels, you name it, had been ruined, it's being redone in black

#21, Luckily interior parts for this car are readily available for pocket change. Or so I'm led to believe, anyway.

This one had a lot of UV damage, all the vynil was cracked, the floor had rust holes, the carpet had mildewed, seats were ripped-up and the pevious owner was a smoker, and had stained everything that wasn't already ruined

#24, I think I saw a pic somewhere. Looked like someone trashed it quite well.

#23, Well, not "Pocket Change" but yes, available, I've got a complete interior, albeit in boxes, in one corner of the garage, carpets, headliner, door panels, door handles, arm rests, the whole thing, all I really need is a replacement dash and I'm all set

This car also needs a Trans-Am style shaker hood, but that might not be worth the money.

#27, WOuldn't do mutch good without a shaker scoop for the engine, which I don't have, and I'm not sure it would fit onto a Chevy, besides the stock hood is straight and rust free, might as well use that and keep the "sleeper" base model image

#28, Well, I meant hood and scoop together, but yeah, it looks suitably good with the stock hood.

#29, Funny, when I was cleaning out the car, I found a shaker scoop in the backseat, think the guy who had this before me had somthing similar in mind, but It had big cracks in it, and one of the mounting holes was gone, totally unusable. And besdies, without the fender skirts and T-tops, a Shaker on a F-body is Girtts, IMHO

When I cleaned out my car I found.

......

I didn't clean out my cars. I got them both from the same used-car dealership, and they cleaned them out.

But when I get my new project, I'll have plenty of car-cleaning adventures. No telling what I'll find: surgical gloves, 8 tire guages, $200 in nickels, maybe even a valid credit card.

#31, Maybe when you're done cleaning you'll find the entire car was actually loose junk behind the seats.

And you'll say to yourself, "I didn't think that was physically possible."

#33, Well, I also found a set of guages, a spare steering wheel, and a few miscelaneous parts back there, about $5 in loose change, an old T-shirt, lots of rubber bands and discarded dead ball point pens

#34, When I read over that now, I thought the last part said "and a discarbed dead bull's penis".

Needless to say, I did a double-take.
