Yep, the Mustang doesn't have a chance. It's "Camaro" though btw.

Funny how the Camaro guy seems relaxed and the Mustang guy looks tense.....

I wouldn't be so sure. These are both respectable cars. They both have excelent potential. Hard to say what really happened.

That is a LS1 Z28 and that is a Mustang GT. Unless the GT had some SERIOUS mods, he got spanked.

Hate to admit it, but assuming both drivers are competent and both cars are stock, the Mustang's going to school. But you never know... some of the Mustang guys are into the stealth look. That thing could very well have aftermarket intake, cams and a blower. The Camaro's in trouble then... of course, it could have the same thing. On these types of cars, you really can't tell anything about performance from external appearance.

i've seen stock GTs beat stock SS camaros. It's all up to the driver, in reality. A pro will beat a chump no matter what car.

That's very true. My Thunderbird frequently beats Z28s and Mustang GTs despite a significant horsepower disadvantage, due to the fact that I know how to launch it, I know how to maximize its strengths, and I know when to claim. A lot of street racers seem to think that spinning their tires on launch is a -good- thing, and consequently, they get their asses handed to them.

I have seen, no bullshit, a friend of mine (real good driver) in a 5.0 Mustang (blown, but not much. about 300hp.) take a henessy 650 viper. All because he knew how to drive and the viper guy didn't. The funny part is they switched cars after that race and my friend beat him again...

And of course, there's ImportTuner with his Civics beating Vipers... but wait, that's not driver skill. I forgot what the name of the key factor in that one was... oh yeah, sandbagging Viper drivers with no self-respect.

No, Import Tuner wouldn't have anything to do with Geos. They were part of GM, and GM is a domestic company.

after doing some reading about Mr. Henessy, this statement doesn't really suprise me. someone had posted on here a while back a link for a viper message board that contained an experience with John that astounded me. all i have to say now is F**K Henessey.
