My car is pretty much all stock, and I plan on putting alot of mods on it.

I can make my car pretty damn quick, but if I did body work you would call me a "ricer"...

Why can't I do what I want to do? Because you assume that if someone does body work to their car that they don't have any engine work done? Exactly.

#39, I myself would have mixed feelings if it had a gaudy kit and paintjob

#44, Ya, and it's sad that that's true...

I know what you mean, people that just want to make their cars appearance different, and don't do anything with their engine. Thus a car that looks like it's supposed to be quick, but really isn't too fast.

And I was actually going to do exterior work first, and then engine modifications. But since I've been talking to you guys, you kind of made me think I should do the engine work first.

#45, oh, a man who knows everything [/sarcasm]

I respect body work if it is done for a PURPOSE.

like mini-tubbing a rear of a car so you can stuff some bigger slicks on the back.
Cowl hood induction that is actually used to get more fresh/colder air into the engine
even larger rims if you have the bigger brakes to support it.

I'm a form follow function engineering kind of guy...

but again, I do like beautiful cars... Jaguar, Ferrari, and heck, even the old Datsun 240Z is just nice to look at. A bunch of crap tacked on to a car isn't.

if you like riced out cars, fine... but that doesn't mean we have to agree with you.

#46, I saw it, and it's very nice.

But I wouldn't dislike it if their was more body work done, there isn't hardly any. You guys would hate it.

When I went to the NMCA drag races last weekend, I saw a series of low 7s (in the 1/4 mi) cars. Not
one of them had a bodykit on them. In fact, some of them actually looked quite streetable, if it wasn't for the uncorked exhaust sound!

The tubed cars were running 6s...
