Well, the Les Miserables-mobile is mine no longer. Sold it yesterday for a bit of a loss.
Now time to look for a new project. >:) |

#42, I'm looking for something for a few hundred that I can sink a ridiculous amount of money into over a long period of time. Sort of like what you've done with the Capri thus far.
There's a '61 Corvair in Alabama for $500 that looks pretty good. |

#44, Meh, probably in Britain. Here Peugeot drivers are all weird-car enthusiasts....like me. |

Well, I now have the Peugeot back. The head gasket blew and my sister (yeah, I had sold it back to her. We've now both owned the car TWICE) couldn't afford to fix it. So I'm going to replace the head gasket, most of the wiring, and the master cylinder in my backyard and see if I can unload the thing on someone for ~$1000. |

I've finally gotten around to disassembling the thing to put the head gasket on (nearly have the head off, and also nearly passed out from working in the heat). I've also discovered, shockingly, that Les Miserables has a pushrod engine. I always thought it was an SOHC, like the Brick. |

#53, Never reassembled it. Sold it in non-running condition to the guy who runs Whynot Garage for $75. He parked it alongside the garage, as seen on 56958, and it hasn't moved from that spot since then.
I still drive by it every time I go to town, covered in dirt and sinking in the grass. Like many of the cars he's had in his junkyard for 30 years and more, I'm certain it'll never move again. |

#54, Last time I passed by, the Pug is no longer there. I don't know if he got rid of it, or just dragged it off further into his yard somewhere.
On a different note, everything you see in the background of this picture was destroyed by a tornado in 2011. It's empty, bulldozed dirt acre now, just now regrowing grass, with a single-wide trailer parked in the middle and a bunch of branchless or completely felled trees surrounding it on all sides. |
