It's getting there....I is getting closer!
I've still a lot of little shit to do before it's running, and I've still got to re-attach the damn hood. |

I finally finished the damn thing yesterday. I would've had it finished a few days ago if I wasn't moving.
It's running great, but it's TOO LOUD. It sounds like a total buzzbomb. I'm thinking exhaust leak. |

#34, Still, good job. Not only did you take it apart and put it back together again, but it even worked afterwards. So, you're doing better than most right there :-) |

/me bows.
I did require a little assistance from the mechanic down the road (the same one that tried to sell me those two trucks that time, I'm just a few hundred feet from his garage now).
On an unrelated note, I discovered today that that mechanic has a '69 Chevelle SS396 in his junkyard. |

#37, Unfortuneately, no. This one is totally beyond saving. The rust and all isn't THAT bad, but the whole front end is destroyed, the frame is bent, and the firewall is buckled. It was a (I think) Fathom Blue car with black stripes and vinyl top. The "SS396" badges are still present on the smashed fenders, and most of the interior is still intact. The steering wheel was bent double and is laying in the backseat.
I asked the mechanic about it. He said it was his car about 20 years ago (he was the second owner) and it was involved in a head on crash with a damn drunk driver. I'll post some pics of the car in a few days.
