#3, Yep. The wing could have actually been a LOT lower, and still provide the same aerodynamic benefits, but they WERE concerned about the practicality of the road-going version of the car.

#6, It would have been too narrow and wouldn't have caught the slipstream from the sides of the roof. At least, I assume.
