#41, Yeah, but the stuff on the front is pretty ricey. For the life of me, I can't remember which ricer mag my sister gets, but the tech content is laughable. |

I just renewed my Car Craft subscription for 3 years... only cost like $20! Great magazine... even the wife likes to read it once in awhile. |

#45, No, she actually was receiving them for a long time prior to getting her car. Which is what scares me; she's had time to plan the ricing. |

And her dream rice car was an Escort? (That's what she bought!) |

#47, No, that's what she could afford. She would've gotten a non-turbo 2nd-gen Eclipse, if she could find one in her price range. |

She had her choice of budget cars though...Civics, Hyundais, Escorts...
You get to choose your car even if you're only spending a few hundred bucks like DiRF. I don't think anyone buys cars they hate. |

#48, Which, I guess, is where we differ in philosophy--if I'd had the money and knowledge (and if the AC wasn't likely to be such an expensive repair) I wanted to eventually repower the Thunderbird with a built 302 or 351, trying to minimize visual modification :-) |

That's the way to go. You can embarrass unsuspecting, arrogant ricers that way. :) |

Actually, I'm hoping to keep the Mustang in decent enough condition to build a sleeper out of it someday. People see enough V6 'Stangs that they don't expect them to be particularly fast. |

#53, I'm rather curious what that would do to the vehicle weight. Probably doesn't weigh as much as a 4.6, so that's good. I'm uninterested in building a drag car; I'd be perfectly happy with a car that runs low-mid 13's.
ed: And you can get that far with the 3.8, although reliability is probably another matter.

#54, that was just what I wanted to do if I had bought the 94 I was looking at. maybe I would have if it wasn't for those damn door panels :P |

#55, I find the interior comfortable, except the clutch pedal. Of course, if I wasn't so cheap, I could always get a new adjustable quadrant; there are a few aftermarket ones that allow better adjustment of the pedal. |

#56, oh I like it to but the door panel doesn't let me sit quite the way I want to |

super street has been doing a fairly good job of dericing. Not as all business as SCC but way better than Import Tunah and Performace Audio and whatever |
