The styling cues are still screaming "English Ford" to me, and now that I look at it, the street and light pole look typical of those found in Old Blighty.
I'm going to say it's a British Escort, but I could be off.

How did it get hit by that side of the pole???
It must have gone through the brick wall without damaging it. Or else it hit the pol and then spun around? Wierd.
