This is just... having a user on this site that treads the line between "doesn't fit in" and "troll" is really aggravating. ...and now we have two on this site, and they're both post whores.

#29, Hmmm... for me...

First car: Free, since I was basically "borrowing" it from my stepmom. (Cavalier wagon)
First motorcycle (and only one so far): I used part of my $2500 graduation present towards it, my dad paid the rest. Which is why I'm not mad he sold it without giving me a dime. I DID kinda screw him out of some money when I left.
Second car: $400. Then about $2300 in repairs... that ate up the rest of my graduation present and about 3 months of my McPaychecks...and then it kept on needing misc. repairs on a regular basis.
Third and current car: $1100, with only a $120 repair job to replace an oxygen sensor, and standard maintenance...over the past year and a half, it's needed new tires, new engine belts, new battery, simple stuff like that. My mom helped me pay for some things since my previous car had eaten up a lot of my income.

I love my Mirage. It frees up my bank account (thanks to lack of repairs and MUCH better gas mileage).

#31, Yes. Beaten up 20 year old cars are much less reliable than <10 year old cars that are in decent shape...regardless of country of origin. :)
