#34, The swap-the-wimpy-4-cylinder-with-an-8-cylinder system sounds the best...but it's quite more expensive than most choices for a better exhaust note.

#34, A buddy of mine had a Cavalier with a 4 banger. He used a large (low-decibel) glasspack muffler on it, and it actually sounded pretty good.

My mother is a film courier, and years ago her company had a fleet of (at the time new) '93 Rangers. I rode in a couple of them, and I remember them being good vehicles apart from one thing: Hair always sticks to the velour on the headrests. Anytime I looked at the headrests on them they always had strands of hair stuck to them.
