Well theres some little datsun near me and its turbo, putty undercoat orginal paint the whole works on it and its a rocket. Then there is the 13sec 120y datsun still got the hubcaps and skiny tyers on it. They are a laugh and a half. |

How 'bout Hot Rod's "Bad Seed?" A shitty looking white Chevette with a 500ci Cadillac (I think) engine in it. |

Sleepers rock, other cars that would make bitchin' sleepers, how about an old Chevy LUV, assuming you can find one? Every junkyard I've gone to seems to have a corner devoted to abandoned ford mavericks, how about a BB in one of them?

BB Mav's been done. Some lunatic built a 1970 Maverick Boss 429, complete with Magnum 500s, Grabber Orange paint and Boss 429 graphics. Nasty. |

Pro Street sounds like a pretty good plan. Tubs, Ford 9-inch or GM 12-bolt, 454, tonneau cover, Craftsman Truck Series style roll cage... that would be pretty damn sweet. |

That same yard had about 5 or 6 scouts in it, one was even a first generation perched up on a school bus. The whole place sat about 5 feet off a railroad track, and last year the Norfolk Southern came through and told him to move them back, so he crushed them all instead, what a waste. Lost a couple Dodge parts trucks too, but the 4 or 5 3rd gen "maros were not missed. |

Nah, more where those came from. Finding parts for 3rd-gens is NOT hard. Those old Scouts and Mopar trucks would be a bigger loss, parts-wise. |

Well, they were pretty picked over, but one did donate a new power brake booster cap when I lost my old one, and another donated the glove box assembly, so it was still a loss. Also trashed in the clearing was a 73' Camaro, 73' Charger, A Buick Electra Wagon, an AMC Rebel and Matador sedans, a few late-model G-Bodies, a couple first gen accords, and at least one Wagoneer, sad to see the classics go. |

No, luckily it was a base cloth-top Rebel sedan, the only problem is the guy won't sell whole cars, you can buy engines and component parts, but not the whole car. So even if it was, short of stealing it, there is no way to save them once they get there. |

Ever tried buying the engine, the frame, and all the body panels at the same time? ;-) Just take it apart, buy all the components and truck them away. It could work. |

How about a midnight discount? Wait untill a train is going by, there's so much noise in taht place you could hook up a car to a log skidder and drive off and no one would notice. |

You know, if I ever saw a Boss Mustang, a Mopar wing car or anything like that, I'd probably do exactly that. |

Surprisingly few mustangs in that yard, only 2 "Pintostangs" and both look picked over. It's mostly GM/AMC stuff. Theres some 50's BUick straight-eight there in the back, and a Continental with the suicide doors, a couple boats too, look like 70's Grand Marquis, I took a whole bunch of digital photos of them a few years ago, but lost the disk :-( |

Low-Tech....a couple OF. OF. I'm really getting tired of people not putting "of" after the word "couple".
Okay, forgive me , I'm out of my grammar stickler mode now.... |
