Reminds me of my first encounter with V8 iron. A black Mustang was idling on cross roads. My father stops behind him. At that time our family :P car was a Fiat 127 Sport. So we stand there and admire the Stang. "What's that rumbling?" I ask my father. "Probably the fan bearing died again". Now before you laugh you have to understand that until middle 90` there vere VERY few American cars in Poland. Time passes... Nothing happens. So my father honks. Then something amazing (for us anyway) happened. The Stang revved calmly, rear wheels moved... but the car remained (almost) stationary. There was just smoke coming from under the car.... And two strips of burned rubber behind. This was our first encounter with REAL torque. |
