Description:
Tweety Bird / Ricer Comparo - I felt I needed a follow-up post about my Tweety theory, so I sat around for about 7 minutes with MS Paint and made this. Please post any additional stuff I may have missed.

well, you'll have to view it at full size, but, eh

I wish I could have found an even more stereotypical Civic, facing towards the viewer

POINT 11: Tweety and ricers both share a small stature and a rapid heartbeat, caused either by small stature, excessive drug use, or rodentlike qualities. This gives them the perception that they're moving much faster than they really are. When Tweety is really hauling ass, he/she probably thinks he/she's moving at incredible speed, but it's easy to tell that he/she isn't really getting anywhere. The same rule basically applies to driving a small subcompact car. At 40 miles an hour, they feel like they're really goin' somewhere! No choice now but to race each other at super-high speeds!

I think I'm going to elaborate on this further and go for a cheap-ass website...

As I start to see more and more Tweety Bird memorabilia on ricers, I'm convinced the connection is very, terribly real.

Also, no one can ever tell what sex Tweety is. Same for ricers! (pink cars, etc.)

#6, You know....I've always thought along those lines...ricers think because their engine is thrashing around buzzing at 9000+RPM, they think they're going REALLY fast, when, in fact, they aren't.

It would explain why Tweety Bird appears in a lot of ricemobiles, I see it fairly often. Like that shitcar with the yellow interior that's always in the Top 10 Other Bad

#9, Also, I've come up with ANOTHER reason ricers think they're going so fast...the closer you are to the ground, the more the sensation of speed is hightened. So when some dumbass cuts his springs, 45mph with the engine revving at 9000rpm, and seeing underneath most SUVs makes you think you're going fast.

#15, Absolutley correct, my brother was driving my econoline today, and since he usualy drives a neon, he was going 70-80 mph regularly, unaware that he was going that fast. The sensation of speed decreases the higher you sit in the "cab"

#16, Yep. I borrowed a Suburban recently and had a tough time keeping it below 80.

the Pontiac Vibe feels faster at 80 than the Explorer feels at 90. The Explorer has gone about 90 several times, and the Vibe has so far hit 85. No, we don't try to put our cars to the limits on striaght highways.
