The movie was awful, but I can't help but enjoy it. The race scenes were very well done, and it had a great '80s soundtrack. I have Tim Feehan's "Where's the Fire" and Lion's "Never Surrender" saved to my hard drive.

#6, The chase cinematography was awesome, even for a popcorn low-budget flick, that this obviously was

Holy crap....I saw this movie a few weeks ago on SciFi...mentioned it on Free Post...such a BAD B-movie... it coulda been so much better (interesting plot, I've heard "The Crow" was very similar, plot-wise, but I've never seen it) but yeah, the race scenes were cool.

The only famous people I spotted in it were Randy Quaid and Charlie Sheen... I thought those two druggie characters who drank that nasty shit and drove the 'Cuda were fucking annoying.

#7, Not so low budget... they actually spent ~$5 million dollars on cars alone (most of that budget went towards the Dodge Wraith concept car and the construction of its stunt-double cars)

Notice, if you look though the gap in the front body of the Wraith's car, where an intercooler would mount, you can see that the "Car" is just a shell.

Chrysler loaned the movie company the actual Stealth prototype for close-ups only, all the action shots were of fiberglass replicas mounted on a simple tube chassis

#10, Then IMDB is misinformed. Oh well. That happens all the time.

#8, Well, there was also Nick Cassavettes (Packard, the bad guy)...hardly as famous as some of the people in the Cassavettes family, but he's somewhat notable. He's been in some big films.

It was the Chrysler PPG pace car, which was powered by a hotted-up turbo 4. I heard somewhere that the doubles were powered by basic crate V8s.

This movie has a big cult following in Chrysler/Shelby turbo fan circles...apart from the PPG, two Daytonas are prominently featured in races.

#13, Yep, and almost all the Cop Cars are ChryDodPlym K-cars or Diplomats... there are a few exceptions, a few Malibu/Caprice cop cars here and there.

Pretty obvious Mopar helped with the production in the movie in exchange for product placement.

#14, Next to the Caprice, the Diplomat is my favorite 80's cop car :D

#15, I like ALL post-'70 V8 RWD cop cars... Even the Dodge St. Regis. XD HAHAHAHAHA. Seriously, I do.

*note how I underlined "cars"... you won't find me endorsing any Tahoes, Explorers, or some such crap like that.

yep and IMDB says that Dodge would only loan the cars if the Dodge logo was clearly seen in closeups of the cars

#16, I dunno, the old Boxy-style Suburbans were kick-ass as police vehicles, even up to the early 90's models

1) Wonder what that car was originally.

2) If MST3k were still around, they would have a field day with this one.
