Description:
Am I a racist for posting this?
I think not - not even in the least! Why am I made to feel guilty and "hateful" for loving my own people and culture?
well guess what - a quick google search reveals this is a result for "white pride" |

#45, Not the only one but really I wouldn't move to Germany and not learn to speak German and expect everyone to be able to understand me. |

#46, This. I don't condone berating someone in this country for knowing little or no English, since learning a language takes time, but some people legitimately move to a country and just expect the entire country to make an effort to understand them not vice-versa. |

Holy jebus! What things a mere decade can do to someone!
In my defence - my ignorance at the time was limted to just my immedate surroundings.
I still think 'asian pride' and 'white pride' are equally racist and stupid. Being proud of genetic traits you had nothing to do with apart from just being born is meaningless. The only reason such matters of 'X-pride' even come up is because of some people feeling that there is a lack of identity that nags them enough to start seeking out any form of hollow attachment that can, even if it's boastful of their race.
Same deal for people who need to attach a hypenated nationality to themselves in a meaningless search for idenity that they couldn't otherwise do so on an individual basis rather than looking for a historic connection (african-american, irish-american etc.). |
