And dont expect every piece to be mentioned in the instructions. There are a few pieces that look like they go somewhere but we cant figure out where and the instructions dont even show em.

Shouldn't be too bad. I've actually done part of this model before a while back but I screwed up the paint so badly when I tried to spray paint the body that I threw it away. I spray paint much better now. Luckily I had the sense to keep the completed chassis, engine and interior so I don't have to do those all over again.

Yeah we ended up spray painting it silver after I (crappily) tried brush-painting it red.

#168, Probably had the geniune sponsor on it, they only tended to change it when it appeared in video/computer games, because there's some law against advertising alcoholic beverages that way

#169, NASCAR die-casts sold in department stores like WalMart and Target have fake sponsors for Beer, Tobacco, and drug companies also, because they're viewed as "toys", not adult collectibles (which the ones with the REAL Beer, Tobacco, and drug companies are considered)

#171, They usualy use the driver or team name as the "Sponsor"

I spent a LOT of time in the "custom paint" feature of NASCAR RACING on the PC re-doing all the cars they coudldn't/didn't lisence

#172, Oh yes, don't you just love the Team Rusty Dodge, the Dale Jr. Chevy, the Mark Martin Ford, the Sterling Marlin Dodge, etc...?

#174, Funny thing was, my computer was such a dog, I had to kick down the resolution to a level where it wasn't even readable :) If I remember correctly, they also didn't have Dale E in the game because he was under lisence to EA SPorts at the time or somthing, so I had to make his car from scratch.....

And no sooner did I finish a convincing replica of Joe Nemechecks car than his sponsor dropped him

I use Q-tips when I buy a new model car that has chrome ends on the ehaust. I paint the inside black and if there is any excess paint I rub it off with a Q-tip. It works good.

#170, Yeah I think your right about that. This one was not what I would consider cheap for a diecast but I don't know that much about them either. I was impressed witht the certificate of authenticity anyway. :)
