People buy these things thinking their getting a SVT mustang. Hate to tell you kiddo. You just bought yourself a Contour, and only made it worse by thinking it cool.

Bull. Most people who buy the non-Cobra SVT cars probably know what they're getting. Sure, the Contour may not have had that much in the way of straight-line power, but they supposedly handle well enough.

This car was built to get old people to their Bingo games. Why they came out with an SVT contour I'm not sure? Whats next? The SVT windstar? OH!!! Look at me Look at me I have a SVT, like the cobra, only not fast, and kind of silly looking.

Yeah, it's not like they've made an SVT Focus, or anything. Or for that matter, a faster Taurus before SVT even came out.
The SVT Contours admittedly weren't that huge a hit. But they were faster than the regular Contours, they looked better in many ways, and they supposedly handled better.

you don't get it, SVT contours are a degradation of the SVT name which apparently only belongs on cobras which also has name degradation going on from the original cobras.
or something I guess

#4, uhm..actually they do have an svt focus. rally rims, projectors....i dont think they're that bad.
speaking of tauruses, we jsut bought one yesterday. got $500 for our 2000 intrepid. that was alot of fun. :p its nice though...power everything, 6 disc changer, royal blue...i love driving that thing.

#9, Because I followed it up with the mention that there was never a performance-oriented Taurus, either, which is also false--the SHO predated the formation of the SVT division. :p

#12, Actually, I kind of like the front shot, but the taillamps are bad and I don't like the wheels (they look almost like "drag star" style wheels, and that's silly on a van).

#18, That would look good, except it is too low (I don't like the way that the tops of the wheels are practically tucked into the wells) and involves APC.
