I know, if I want a faster car, I'll buy a faster car. But having an ultimate sleeper is always a nice fantasy.

I've always kind of fantasized about a twin turbo AWD '96 Taurus. or maybe just 2 engines. that would be pretty scary.

Now, that one guy that had the twin-engined Tibouron, if he had tried to keep the car looking stock, that woulda been really cool...

if he took the stickers off, it would be almost completely stock looking. the rear hatch is fiberglas, but it looks like heavily tinted glass.

hey DiRF...you say you "know" for a fact that pre-95 Z24s came with 2.2s? Well you "know" wrong. You couldn't get a Z24 with a 4 banger before 1995, they had the 2.8/3.1 MPFI V6. I would know, I have a '94 with a 3.1. There's plenty of posers out there though.

Whoops...my bad, I forgot about the V6...I shoulda said that all 4 cylinder Cavaliers before '95 had a 2.2L.

#7, nope. the 2.4L's lasted up to the end of the 2002 year.

Now both the J's - the Grand AM SE - the Alero GX and GL1 - the Ion and Ion Qcoupe - the L200 - the LW200 - the Vue FWD4 - and the Vue AWD4 use the all aluminium Ecotec 2.2L (which is now standardized)

Max stock HP presently:
140 @ 5600 rpm
143 @ 5600 rpm
(Saturn VUE)

Max stock torque presently"
150 @ 4000 rpm
152 @ 4000 rpm
(Saturn VUE)

Powercurves - http://www.gm.com/automotive/gmpowe. powercurves.htm

(God knows how its used by Opel and Vauxhall!)
