I've seen those wheels on a few Pro-street cars, and I still think they're ugly. They look like old rotary telephone dials.

Those are the bigger dials, for those of us(Kain) who use our penises instead of fingers..:p

#2, they are functional though, the strongest shape is a circle. and its trying to use the least amount of material/weight i guess.
