I had a friend in high school whose mother had one of these. I drove it once while we were going out to some cemetary on a ghost hunt one night. Boy, that car was thrashed, but in a really entertaining sorta way.

#7, Pretty much, yeah.

The headliner would hang down in the drivers' face, so they kept it hung up with multicolored thumb tacks, which would randomly pop out and become deadly projectiles (most of which fortunately landed thumb-side up, or just embedded themselves in the seats or carpet). The rear suspension sagged to the point where the back bumper would scrape over any uneven bit of pavement, the exhaust pipe was held on with bungee cord (and would sway back and forth while driving), and the paint looked like high surf (if high surf was silver, anyway). It had loose engine mounts, no high beams, and it sounded like a Huey helicopter. It also produced some weird multicolored smoke which would sometimes billow out of the rear, sometimes not.

It was great.

#8, Reminds me of a Gremlin that the parents of this kid that went to my school owned. It was yellow with rust everywhere, could be heard coming from a mile away, blew lots of smoke out the exhaust and the rear springs were worn out. it would come by the front of the school (which is where my calssroom was) every morning to drop them off.

These look like the same colors as my car, simply called "Light Blue" and "Dark Blue". The paint's still good on this one, probably because of a mild climate and 1986 being the first year the 6000 featured a clearcoat. Mine sat outside for about 10-15 years in hot California sun and got baked. :(
