#22, i was being Facetious. i should have used the :p. I know vans exist as do wagons in reality, it's just they sell better if you jack 'em up and put a truck front end on it and call it something else. Focus groups have told car companies that "minivan" and "station wagons" arent "cool". They came up with cross overs and other marketing bs.

#23, ok, gotcha. I see what you mean. We were at a Toyota dealer not to long ago, and we were looking at a used 4k mile Magnum. The guys told us they had a smiliar vehicle for a few K less. It turns out, the Toyota dealer belives the Durango is a suvIZED Magnum. What numbnuts.

#24, ummmm, durango is older and is an SUV. what an idiot. I mean there is a superficial resemblance like a nissan med size pickup to a pathfinder armada, but they aint the same.

#20, ok...try to dump 1200lbs of dirt into a station wagon...you dont make any sense, whats wrong with a truck being a multipurpose vehicle? in any case, i didnt say they HAD to be multipurpose, somebody asked what the point of having a crew cab was, and i answered...my real problem with ford, chevy, and dodge is the fact that they charge around 30k each for something that doesnt live up to the standards set by the others

#26, heh. Most people have a simple truck for work/hauling stuff, and a van for the kids. Plus, the back seats of midsize trucks aren't that comfortable. Even the rear seat of the Ram is upright. Its not comfy at all. Trucks are now designed as a luxury item which is a sad thing. I don't think trucks should have nav systems and leather seats and crap like that. Sure, it may be nice, but it is not needed.

Trucks, in my opinion, are becoming more and more off the point of what they were designed to do. Crew Cabs, while roomy and nice, just don't provide the truck bed space that a full size or extended cab offers, and isnt that why people buy trucks in the first place?.. to be haulers...sure, the extra space is fine, but alot of it just isnt needed. I wouldnt buy a truck for my family and expect it be my primary mode of transporation for everyone, i would buy a sedan for that. Trucks don't need TVs, and full back seats and stuff. I agree that 30K is a little steap for a truck, but I also know that everything you get with that truck is involved with that price, whether it be nav systems, or beefier engines/tranny/suspension set ups. Ford, Chevy Dodge ect.. arent trying to rip people off by giving them base line trucks for $30,000... as the saying goes, "You get what you pay for".

#31, good sumup. I wish we could go back to the days when you could purchase a baseline fullsize or compact pickup with only options you wanted, and nothing you didn't need.

#32, you could buy a stripped silverado, or a 4-cyl base tacoma, so apparently, you still can

#28, I think you missed the point, as long as they are selling that many f-series a month I really don't think they give a shit how many mid size trucks nissan or toyota sell. And there is a redesign coming sometime in the near future.
#29, while close that is still not 30k, and I'm suprised you haven't brought up the H3 yet.

#17, I call it like I see it. Here's a summary of your first post:

The Ford Ranger sucks...it costs like $30,000 and has no crew cab and no power. The Chevy uses a five cylinder....which sucks because nobody uses five cylinders. It's like, uneven and stuff. And the interior sucks. The Dodge blows because it's ugly and it's V8 is worse than the other trucks' 6 cylinders.

On the other hand, the Nissan is as much as the Ranger, but it's like, roomy and stuff, and has a lot of options, even though I failed to mention that the other trucks offer a lot of options too. And it has a powerful engine. And it handles well, because it's a Nissan and just look at the 350Z. And the Toyota is durable and high quality, because it's a Toyota and just look at the Camry. It's also really powerful, because it's a Toyota. And it costs as much as the Ranger. I just don't know where that myth about Toyotas being expensive comes from.

Seriously, it's no different from what you usually post.
