what an odd assortment of autos. Skyline, Insight, a couple of Porsches, a Silverado, a C-class, and two older cars that I cannot name.

#3, Could have been someone formerly stationed in Japan, having bought the car over there.

I would love to know how this was regged in California. They're not street legal here.

Waitaminute. I've seen this car in person. 70687

R33's are technically street legal in America, if they've been properly modified to meet emissions and safety standards... but not R32s or R34s. Some R33s were actually brought to America and crash-tested by a company that wanted to import Skylines, which provides the reason why a correctly modified R33 is legal in America. At least, this is the explanation someone gave me once.

[edit] Also, I've heard of people buying disassembled Skyline GT-Rs and importing them, then building them as a "kitcar", which would make them legal.

#12, I dunno about R32s: I saw an R32 on the road outside my house once....really. The only Skyline I've seen in person.

EDIT: Then again, it is easier to street legalize stuff in Mississippi than elsewhere, as well. I've been seeing a ton of Japanese minicab trucks on the road lately, with tags.

#12, This one is titled and registered as a 1995 Nissan Skyline GT-R in California. But like I said in 70687 it's had some trouble meeting emissions standards.
