which way does an sti motor sit, in line with the car, or no?
and are there any shots of an awd car underbody? i have never seen how the awd works when it doesn't have a 2-speed transfer case...or does it have the case with just one speed? and how does awd work if the motor isn't in line with the car?

This was pic #3200 for me. I was going to post a Lamborghini convoy, but this is fine.

the STi looks better than a WS6? your kidding.. the STi looks godawful.. a glorfied sedan.. big ricer wing, breadbox hood scoop..
i'll not deny it's quick, and awd helps a lot from a dig (but with the drivetrain loss they suck from a roll)
but damn they are ugly, along with it's cousin the Evo..
not to mention the annoying exhaust note of the 4 banger |

#27, The new STi looks...ehhh..but the 05..thats sexy. Nothing wrong with four doors. Ram air hoods look godawful. Ricer wing, Ill give you that. I like the plain jane RS spoilers, myself. And I wasnt referring to its straight line capabilites (think in more than one dimension, next time) Evos are boring..I found this out the other day when I was stuck behind one. Nothing is annoying about the sound of a turbo boxer engine.
Im not kidding, either.

I think EVOs and WRXs sound nice, even stock. I also think with th right exhaust a turbo'd DSM can sound pretty good too. The WRX/EVO are race-bred street cars. The STi and a EVO both have rally heritage, and they both have a decent drag race heritage in places like NZ and Australia. |

#28, oh no doubt. Personally, if I were to get an STi/EVo, I'd either pull the wing off, or stuck to the least ricey wing you can get. |

with the right exhaust a 4-cyl will sound like a deep turbine...very nice
i am not very fond of the flat 4 noise on the subarus, but to each his own
and as far as trans am vs. sti goes...the transam looks just as ricey as the subaru with the ram air and the toenail spoiler, and all those swoops and scoops |

#31, either car can be interpreted as being ricey looks-wise. It all depends who you are. I happen to like both. |

between an sti and a non ram air firebird, i would probably take the subaru and leave the wing...just because i prefer handling over straight line speed, and turbo boost is just fun! oh, and the car would rock in the winter

#33, indeed. I would love to have each, but for me, I would probably feel safer with the Rex knowing I can use it in all seasons rather 5 months out the year. |

#34, plus there is almost nothing that can match the 0-30 time of 1.2 seconds of the sti |

I think the thing with the wheels being too big is the fact he has some sidewall plus the dark rims (makes it look bigger then what it is). while I think that maybe one size smaller our maybe just a little less sidewall is needed I still wouldn't mind this. the rest of this is thread is a train wreck that I will just stay out off |

#35, I'm sure everyone races to 30mph then stop.
