#40, The issue I had I only picked up cause there was a 70 Burban in it. Besides the flame job it was pretty sweet lookin, I'll see if I can find the truck. |

#42, I believe so, I think it was about year or so ago. It was grey with orange flames and Billet "Avalanche" rims. |

Last Monday (no, not yesterday) I was leaving the dentist's office after getting a filling replaced, and he has an extremely tight, damn near unmanagable parking lot. I was backing up slowly when I suddenly heard a rather sickening CRUNCH.
Come to find out, I had backed into a big wooden flower box, and it totally mauled the rear roll pan, and cracked the rear bed corners at both sides, to boot. :( But that's not even the worst of it...I wne tot the store to get some duct tape or something to hold the pan on temporarily until I could get it replaced....and arriving at the store I find that the damn thing has FALLEN OFF somewhere on the road, and MY LICENSE PLATE WENT WITH IT.
I've got a new tag, but now I need a way to put it on the truck. I think I'll just order a factory style chrome bumper from J.C. Whitney, although the cracked rear corners are still going to bug me.
To top it all off, I also lost center cap to my left rear wheel recently. |

I've got four new tires now, and I've stepped up from 255s to 275s....they fill the wheelwells nicely. I've also got a new rear center cap, but I need to get a locking screw for it before I can put it on.
Now for that goddamn $500 bumper. :( |

FINALLY after a freaking YEAR of driving the thing around with a mauled pan, I managed to find a rear bumper for sale locally for a mere $50, brackets, bolts, and all. On top of that, the guy who sold it to me took it off of his truck when new to install a roll pan, so it's basically a brand new bumper. The hole for trailer ball haven't even been cut into the rear step pad. Auto parts suppliers can kiss my ass.
Here's the "before" picture. I borrowed a light-up bracket from my mother's boyfriend and drilled it in to hold the tag. This is how it's looked since early fall.

After an afternoon and morning of toiling, this is how it looks now.

I am content. Now I just need to find a bolt for that center cap on the left rear wheel and get my A/C recharged. |

Arranging to trade this for an acquaintance's 2006 Ford Ranger XLT Supercab on Monday. Not exactly a dream machine, but it's in good condition and it'll make a practical daily driver....and the deal is too good to pass up. |
