Its going to need some work, but the body and frame is all but rust free. the last owner was swaping in the 4.2 I6 when the lost intrest in it and its beein sitting since atleast 97.I've not had a chance to really dig into it yet, but just by looking at it needs all the wiring done, transmision mounted, new hoses, new top, starter, and a new front left fender.

no, its a dead project. never have got a title to it. so when me and my friend get off our asses, we are going to pull its 400 out, rig up a stand for it, and feed it around a 600hp shot of nitrous. I still want a Bronco so I'm not going to get rid of the body (it's got good glass and everything needed for a big block), I'm just going to wait till I can find a cheap one with a title

#5, how cheap is cheap. In MN those things go for between $500 and $2500.

A fellow Jeep owner. I'm loving mine to cruise in, not a comfortable ride, but enjoyable.
Things to note: Command Trac system sucks. I'm going to replace mine as soon as I can with a Posi Lok system. The driveshafts get flaky pretty fast when things start to get lifted.

Had one of these in 1991, had to turn it back in to the deal because I lost my lic. for a DWI. Ain't nothing like getting busted by the cops just because you have the top down and your so called friends are tossing empty beers cans out the back. Sure miss that thing, I remember getting it stuck in a mud bog once and having to cough up a case of beer to get someone to pull me out. Oh what fun.....

Edit: duh 1991 not 2001...see what old age and too much beer do to the brain cells.

#9, so you were DWI and some guy was making it more obvious? Don't DWI! as the resident drunk here, I have NEVER and WILL NEVER drive drunk. It makes two magical things suck. I don't hate, especially cause it was in the past and many of my contemporaries did/do the same. I just think any intoxication + drive sucks*.

#14, That first picture looks straight out of an opening sequence of some coast-based smarmy '80s Detective show.
