Oh yes, my book about 100 years of American cars touches quite a bit on this design-style that permeated much of GM's lineup, but was ultimately a flop.

I saw an image of an Aerocoupe on here and it got be to thinking about the long forgotten Olds.

I honestly cant remember if Buick had one of these or not. I dont think so though.

Olds sold like Half a million cutlii yearly during this period, the majority of which were the coupes, which were way better looking than the 2 and 4 door sedans. It's been several years since I've seen one of these, but I still see the coupes every now and then.

I actually really like these "door-stopper" shaped A-bodies. Call me crazy, but I think it looks even better with that add-on spoiler. It could use better wheels, though, and it could also stand to lose some of it's excess faux-chrome trim.
