#62, I'm not sure I understand the question. It's just the version of the Essex V6 that was sold in the F150. It's basically the same engine, just with a different rotating assembly, oil pan, and upper intake manifold. Put a Mustang intake manifold and '01-04 oil pan on one, and a stock 4.2 is a drop-in swap. Mine isn't very stock, but that's another matter. |

#64, I was just asking what vehicle the engine came from, because you said that your car came with a 3.8L engine and you said you did a swap. |

#65, Hell if I know. I'm reasonably sure it was an F150 block, but it doesn't really matter since it had all the requisite machining done before it went together (it's a .030 overbore; everything except the crank is forged, and it's rare to break those). It was ordered as a built shortblock, and the shop I've been using swapped my old top-end and accessories onto it when it arrived.
