Description:
300 MPH CRX. It can go from Lawrence to KC in 5 minutes, and is capable of smoking a Viper in the 1/4 mile. It has a Spoon engine from Japan, and it is the fastest car in the world. It is faster than a Skyline GTR Nismo, and it makes those "retarded" domestics look bad. |

#1, indeed. He also claimed (I shit you not) that he had an AK47 at his house, and that had can get gold plated suicide bombs. Among that BS is the fact that I wouldn't understand the "import racing culture" because I drive a "farmer's car". I showed him a Superbird, and he said it "couldn't hang with a Civic Si with NOS". Which would you rather have, a 440 or a NOS'd B16? |

Unless he swapped a newer gen motor in he doesn't have a B16 anyway. |

#2, Did they lift the ban on assault rifles in Minnesota? Heh heh. What the hell did he mean by "gold-plated suicide bombs"? And as for the Superbird, the 440 Super Commando (standard) had 375 bhp and made close to 500 ft lbs of torque at just over 3K rpms, accelerated to 60 in 5.5 secs and had a quarter mile time of about 14.3 secs IIRC, the Civic Si has a 200 horse K20 but shit for torque, with a 50 shot of nitrous it might be able to pass the lowest spec Superbird, maybe...

#5, I dont know. I go to school in KS. Remember, I'm still in HS in Lawrence. But, I mean, the standard Si (older one) makes 160 claimed HP. I would imagine with NOS (assuming a 50 shot) it makes 210HP, which would still be far less than a 400 Super Commando. About the suicide bombs I have no fucking clue what he means. |

#6, Right, sorry, I was thinking of someone else. Anyways, I'd imagine the Superbird and Civic Si w/nitrous would be fairly close, the Honda has a close gear ratio and lower weight, the the Bird has useable power and displacement on it's side. Your friend may not be wrong after all...
But it's still a nitroused Civic compared to a car with a 425 hp 426 Hemi option, it's like saying "Sure, my car might be faster/almost as fast as that in the 1/4 mile, but I've got a pretty big helping hand."

#7, nah it's cool. I do live in MN part of the year though. About the AK thing, I would assume so. We do have a "concealed weapons law" which states that you are allowed to carry handguns and small knifes in your vehicle for self defense. I am surprised we don't have more drive-bys and shootings than we do. |

#9, indeed. If you go about 18 blocks down my street, you'll be in a whole nother setting. My street ranges from affluent/richish people to boarded houses and blocked-up cars on the other end. |

#10, Who? Edit: nevermind
#11, Yeah, if you're ever in Detroit again drop me a line and I'll show you this street near Grosse Pointe where it almost instantaneously goes from affluent homes to the dinghy ghetto area, it's very freaky.

#10, I would hope. But, you can't tell. Some other kid asked him if he was serious, and he said he was 'straight up bro. I got the hookups'. |

#13, I walked out of the room a few minute after it started simply because I didn't want to get in trouble for bashing him with an Auto Tech Book. Which I felt like doing. |

#4, If thats an 88-91 CRX Si, which it appears to be it has a D16A6 (non vtec) which only has 108hp and 100ft/lbs of torque. IF he actually happened to import a jap spec engine from those years he would have got a 160hp, 113ft/lbs B16. The first NA CRX/Civic to get vtec was in 99. |
