Description:
300 MPH CRX. It can go from Lawrence to KC in 5 minutes, and is capable of smoking a Viper in the 1/4 mile. It has a Spoon engine from Japan, and it is the fastest car in the world. It is faster than a Skyline GTR Nismo, and it makes those "retarded" domestics look bad. |

The NSX was the first with vtec if I remember right. Meaning its been around since ~90. It was introduced to the runabout cars of the lineup in the early mid 90s. 94 Accord EXs had it. Not sure about CRXs, Civics or Integras, because I dont pay attention to anything with less than 2L. |

#39, They shared engines with Honda Civics, so swapping in a cam wouldn't be too hard. But the only USDM Hondas that had VTEC at that time were the 1992-95 Civic HX which had VTEC-E
The very first car to have VTEC was the JDM Intregra back in 1989

#38, EDIT: The CRX Del-Sol did have a VTEC package B16 engine in 1994, but before then the CRX had no VTEC afaik. They did have an EDM Delo Sol with Vti in 1992 though. That's my bad, sometimes I forget to realize the Del Sol and CRX are one in the same

D'oh. I asked him again in 6th hour about his CRX and he now claims that this is his beater, his OTHER CRX, which is JDM CRX with an H22 w/ NOS and twin turbos is his race car. |

Last week, there was a primered CRX with a wing and other rice add-ons broken down on the highway. |

#47, Accords never had the H22, either. At least not in America.

Oddly enough, since I left Lawrence, I haven't run into him, seen the car, or heard any peep about him from anyone of my highschool contacts that still live there. |

It's interresting how all the high tech boyz have suddenly disappeared... predictible, perhaps, but still surprising. Used to be you couldn't even write "Hon-duh sux! LOL!" on a message board without attracting dozens of these guys ready to berate you for your ignorance, as Honda is a Godlike company that uses magic asian technology so that their engines make a billion times infinity HP and also make mint lattes and give out blowjobs and you'll just never UNDERSTAND!!!! THese days, I can't even find someone who remembers what the big deal about VTEC was. |

#52, my best memory of "VTEC" was that it was "like nitrous, without the bottle." Come again? |

#53, I honestly can't believe such a time existed when the immature automotive world lost its shit at the mere mention of the word 'VTEC'.
The odd thing is that I lived through that time and I'm unable to understand how the world even functioned at all back then. It's like remembering life before the internet was commercialized and thinking "how the fuck did anything ever get done back then?"
Same deal with VTEC; "how the fuck could anyone ever uphold a valve-timing system in such a regard as if it fell from Mount Olympus and still manage to breath on their own?" |

#54, Thanks to Google, knowledge is more available. So folks going around pointing at their alternator and saying its a turbo isn't going to happen as much. |
