Ok. If the DRAG RACE car needs only that size wing, then why in hell do these rice boys think they need one two, three or even four times as large? |

I don't remember anyone saying only American cars were rice killers....take Porche for example. But you're right, that is one nice car! |

What a waste of a 3rd gen RX-7. :(
Those cars were built to be road racers, not drag boats that go back and forth on a quarter mile strip.
Besides that, 8 seconds is really not that impressive anymore for an import. They've got Talons in the 8's now. |

awesome....there may be Talons in the 8s now...but does a Talon have a rotary engine like the RX-7? |

No, they have the massive 2.0L inline four to work with. I always wanted a third gen RX-7, even over my current Eclipse, but you look at their apex seals cross-eyed, and it'll blow. Not quite a daily driver which is what I needed (Not to mention snow usage and not replacing the engine at every 80k). One of the best handling cars I've ever driven, bar none though. Maybe someday... *weeps quietly* |

its a drag racer, and therefore not street legal, so i don`t see how it is a rice killer....it only races for several 1/4 and then has to have its engine rebuilt |

Yeah, that's a rice killer. But I can't believe it isn't street legal! I've seen 7 second V8 street cars! (they probably aren't practical, and that's an understatement, but they are legal). |

dumb thing to say. good cars, yes, but you couldn't argue that they're the greatest car ever made. I can think of many cars that are better made, faster, and more reliable than RX7s offhand, so I'm inclined to think that they're not the best. There's always a better car. |
