#3, branch into the supermacho line with the calibur, right? i mean the rest of the lineup is definately not trying for that.

#4, Well Dodge has got a bunch of "macho" full sizes so why not go in that direction with the compacts?

I was sad to see the Horizon/Omni go. My family drove those for ages before switching to Toyotas. I remember my grandfather called all 3 he owned from new "Rabbits"... I know the gearbox was made by VW because of the down and into 1st for reverse pattern. I remember that the gearchange was like a broomstick in a bucket of rubber balls, anyone who's ever driven and old VW or HorOmni knows what I'm saying. I also remember sitting at the dealership with my dad at about 5 years old, sitting for hours drooling over the black on black wheeled GLHS while my dad negotiated a trade for my mom's 72 Cutlass coupe. I was so sad whe ended up driving home, empty handed. I'd still have that car if they bought it.

#6, Which reminds me, I need to try out more different types of manual transmissions--I'm only familiar with the rubbery, distant feeling of some FWD transaxles, and the "screwdriver in a rock pile" feel of a T5 with an aftermarket shifter. :p

#7, dude if you ever have the opportunity to drive an 80's VW or Horizon/Omni, try it... it's, unique.

the first generation wasn't bad IMHO, but this...eh. I don't HATE it but it hasn't been selling strongly.

#7, "screwdriver in a rock pile" , that's a good one. I can't take credit for the Omni one, myself.
