A lot of people experimented with the trend when it was new...but we've grown up and realized how STUPID it is...and gone back to drooling over REAL cars.

I look back at my Neon and think "WHY" but at least I didn't all-out rice it with wings, rubber bands, altezzas, etc. and I recovered and returned to my dreams of owning a Mustang.

I started getting into situations where money was scarce, and I thought, "If I'm gonna put money into a car, it'll only be for performance. Doing cosmetic modifications would be a waste of money..."
Then I started taking a second look at cosmetic modifications, and realized how they really didn't look that good at all...Yeah, they made a car look "different", but "different" wasn't always good.
I had never liked chrome wheels or clear taillights though...even in my riceboy days.

You guys are making me feel like it is kinda stupid, but then I go back to thinking how much I like the way my car looks and how better it can look and how faster it can be.
The whole rice thing is a big community, like everyone that has a riced Civic or Integra, they are all in the same group of cars. They can all keep up with each other, etc... it's kinda hard to explain.
Just think about how The Fast and The Furious was... that big ass community of people all into the same type of cars, you know what I mean? That's what makes it worth it.
People are fascinated by the look and sounds of these cars, and meetings with imports and hooked-up cars are very common nowadays. That's what it's all about...
