I actually really like the way the new Sonatas look.. Not a huge fan of this front bumper the grille, but I like the back.

I wonder if Hyundai and Kia are going to be able to make themselves "respectable" the same way Honda and Toyota did within the next few years. It seems like they are getting closer all the time.
I bet they'll get there just as Chinese imports start hitting the US as the new "crap" import. |

#3, I think Hyundai started getting better with the 03 Tiburon and is going up from there with the rest of their line. The engine wasnt quite up to the import standards set by the Japanese, but the suspension was brilliant and I didnt have a single aesthetic complaint. But about 1k dropped on an Alpine supercharger seemed to fix my friends need for a few more hp.
I think youre right about the Chinese, too. |

#4, I think a lot of the Japanese cars are moving "up-market" and creating a void that the Koreans are trying to capitalize on. I'd actually need to look at pricing data to KNOW that, though.
#5, I dunno, these Sonatas are fairly sharp. |

I wouldn't mind a Sonata with the Tiburon V6 and a 6-speed manual (if there is such a combination available). It would make a perfect daily driver, IMO. |

#8, The good news is that the V6 has been bored out (at least I think so) to 3.3l and now has 235hp, the bad news is that you can't have it with a manual. Shit.
But the 2.4 has 165hp, enough for a daily driver IMO.

#3, Is that why they continue to use styling cues from Honda & Toyota? |
