That's kinda my style. I try to make the cars either futuristic and a bit cgi, or sleek and sexy, even prototype-like. Bodylines just stand in the way :) Just think of it as a Nascar shell.
In this particular example there was wayyy too much chrome and doo-dads in the front. I tried to leave at least a little bit to keep it somewhat elegant, but the main goal was simplicity. If you save the two pics and then click back and forth real quick in an image viewer, you will see exactly what's been done.
