Ah...beater boat...scourge of America's highways...driven by poor rednecks and old ladies all over America....I love the stereotypical sputter-putt-putt-rattle sound that comes from the exhausts of these beasts...

We had a Mercury Monterey when I was growing up that was smooth and quite, no rattles, squeaks, etc., etc. Actually, that's the closest I've ever come to actually wanting a Ford product. It was a very nice car, big as a boat, and still got 20mpg on the open road with a 400/2bbl and a 3spd automatic. That's pretty darned good.
