THis is so... not rice. It's too bad that cars like this died out... stupid gas prices. I want to drive a 440 at least once in my life.

I saw a car called a Jensen Interceptor once. It was a lightweight British coupe stuffed with a 1970 Plymouth 440 Super Commando...the car was kinda odd looking, but it probably would flyby any Honda...

BTW, the Jensen Interceptor came STANDARD with the 440, but they never sold well.

Oh, man. I love it when those silly little Euro cars had American Muscle shoved into them. Austin had a nice little car with a 426 in it... those silly Brits wouldn't know what to do with that kind of power after driving Mini's all their lives. I would LOVE to buy something like a 66 Ford Galaxie or a 69 Charger and go for a ride around jolly old London. Although I'd be on the wrong side of the road and would'nt be able to find a parking spot big enough. :P

Well, as I was saying, they wouldn't. American anything has always been "inefficient and clumsy" to the brits.

The worst thing had to be... my friend has this book about American cars from the late fifties to the late 60's... It's about American cars.

It was written and published in Britain by a British man.

It goes on to call teh 59 Cadillac "Rough and crude looking, unrefined, unelegant and totally inferior to English cars of the same time period".

Like, how is that for arrogence? The whole damned book was pictures of American cars with stats like Horses and torque, etc, etc... and 3 paragraphs of insults on each page detailing how much better British cars were.

ARGH!

a beautiful car...i wish i could take it for a drive

on British cars....what are Britain`s main contributions to the automotive market anyway? Jaguars, which are famous for being in the shop 280 days a year, and Land Rover, which almoust nobody buys because of its notorious unreliability and incomprehensible price

I prefer the yellow one Daisy Duke drove for about 3 episodes. :D Too bad they drove it off a cliff.

FV, the Brits gave us front-wheel drive and a transversely mouted engine in a mass produced car, and they also gave us...uhm....let me think for a minute.... (OK, no flames about how the Cord L-29 and the Citroen 12CV came out before the Mini, they were never produced on the scale the Mini was, k?) I can't think of anything else...

Skid: Sorry, how could I have made such a mistake! A Civic with a wing would make a nice boot scraper to put by your back porch.

I'm always amazed that mopar managed to make a low-12 second car during the insurance crackdown.

It's not stock, CRX. I believe these ran high 14s stock.

It looks a lot like one near me, except that one has a lot of grey primer, a four speed, and black interior. I don't think it has a motor, either. Can anyone say "Hemi short block swap"? >:)
