It would be awesome, if only the front bumper weren't replaced with a flower box. :/

#3, Eh, it's like a Hells Angel biker with a unicorn wallet, you really want to tell him he can't do that?!

#5, They've, unfortunately, fallen into the Johnny Lightning trap lately... cars with branded company logos on them... that will sit on the shelf for years unsold.

M2 has sadly become the red-headed stepchild diecast brand at my local Walmart and Toys R Us. Walmart eliminated the designated shelf space for M2 and they are dumped in a haphazard pile in the corner at the end of the diecast aisle shelf. TRU has had M2s on sale for a couple of months and they sit there. People don't want to pay $5.99 for cars that half the time have loose parts rolling around in the box. M2 Ground Pounders and JL Street Freaks are borderline saleproof and I seem to be the only one who buys the JL malaise era cars locally. My Walmart usually doesn't stock JL anymore at all.

Another thing that bothers me is how they put garish gold paint on the front grilles of many cars... I mean, yeah, that was an option on the real life cars, but it wasn't that common, and it looks positively wretched on cheap plastic trim. The '57 Chevys and DeSotos are the worst offenders.

I remeber those chip foose ones a few years back, they sat on the shelf at work forever.

#10, If nothing else, M2 cars unscrew completely so... $1.59 jar of silver chrome (or black) model paint from a hobby store and you're good.

For what it's worth, some cars with gold trim are chase cars. :P

I do kind of like that M2 and JL do several colors of each car, unlike the typical industry "We need variations. I KNOW! One red and then one blue!" strategy.

I just wish M2 would have listened when I wrote to them requesting they do a '59 Pontiac and '59 Edsel. Likewise Greenlight ignored my pitch for an AMC Eagle.

#12, "chase cars"... is that supposed to collectible? Because every fucking 57 Chevy and DeSoto I've seen has the ugly gold grills.
