I so badly want another steelside Custom Cruiser. Why? To autocross. I know I know, I've been saying that a lot lately, but I'm still a firm beliver that these cars can handle with some help. |

#3, I never drove an automatic so I don't know if my 'shifting in the worst possible moment'* fears are justified.
* As in mid-corner when the car is at the very limit of adhesion and even a little unplanned jerk can send you to hell. |

#4, As long as you don't lay into the throttle going all the way through the corner, it won't matter much where the car shifts. Also, if it's hooked to a big V8 engine, chances are the torque is no different at the top end of second gear from the bottom of third. |

#5, I try to spend as much of the corner on the throttle as possible. It's a very sensitive moment, all 4 tires are slipping and the car doesn't react to the steering much, where the car goes is down to pedal work. |

#7, On one hand I'm looking forward to that, on the other: if someone gave me a chance to drive, say, a WRX, I'd be worried I'd kill myslef in the first corner :( |

#8, See, if you drove this car, you'd only kill whoever you slid into on that first corner |

#9, You can bet your behind I'd take it racing XD I would be cool to take it out on the track during one of Yougtimer Parties, see if I can actually get it to slide all four in the corners :D Hmmm... I wonder if you can still buy bias ply tires? |

#10, Go back in the woods, I'm sure you can find some that have already been broken in, since 1972... :) |
