Just before this appeared I had clicked on 58282 to see if it was the Saturn version of the Astra... I clicked back to reload new images and this was #1.

It's crazy, when this car comes out, the oldest car in Saturn's lineup will be the Sky, which at that time will only be 20 months old... (Yes, the ION is going byebye when this baby is released)

Why did it take them so long to realize that their European models would be much better suited to "imprt fighting"?

#7, Let's not bicker about that... let's just revel in the fact that they ARE finally doing it... and man, Holden's imported Opels have the HSV treatment, Vauxhall's imported Opels have the VXR treatment... imagine what Saturn can do with the Red Line treatment :D

#8, I hope it's a raging success and inspires Ford to finally sell us the MKII Focus.

#9, Honestly, that wasn't really them bringing in a European model... they simply took the European platform and created a car from that... the L-series were no more European than the current Chevy Malibu is.

#13, That's getting axed fairly quickly... the Outlook is a more proper Saturn people-carrier.

#12, No. They will not.

Just to really make it clear how wonderful and fast this Saturn turnaround is...

Saturn's 2005 Lineup
Saturn ION
Saturn L-series
Saturn VUE (1st gen)
Saturn Relay

Saturn's 2008 Lineup
Saturn Astra
Saturn Aura
Saturn Sky
Saturn VUE (2nd gen)
Saturn Outlook

There's also talk of the new Opel Corsa being brought over as a Saturn... which I would welcome since I think it's a fantastic looking subcompact.

I like. I've heard talk of the Corsa becoming the Saturn Ion.

This excites me.

Also, I vote for a name change, since it's confusingly close to Aura.
