#20, That's the thing. The name "Evoke" has been registered with some US trademark and whatnot thing for Saturn some time earlier this year.

#19, Uh, NO. The Corsa is much too small to replace the ION... the ASTRA is the replacement for the ION.

#24, Also - I don't know why the ION would be downsized to a smaller car.

Name t'won't change, I hear. Glad they're not trying to hide anything (As if most people in the US have heard the name Astra anyway :P)

Funny how the best-looking Saturns aren't Saturns. Learning anything from this, GM?

#18, ...and re-reading that post just stuck the knife deeper... damn shame. The moment both Saturn and Pontiac were producing quality product (with a few bad "old GM" cars still lingering, admittedly), the hammer fell.

#30, Saturn was an easy casualty when they just became another badge engineering department instead of actually being different cars. But, against conventional wisdom, I question if Pontiac had much life left even if the recession hadn't come along. Nobody seemed to really notice/care about the GTO except the fanboys.

This is funny. I guess Buick is pulling out of the small car market, too. The smallest car will soon be the Regal. :/

#32, Funny hearing you say that when the Cascada JUST went on sale.

#33, Cascada isn't small.

#34, But it's just an Astra isn't it?

#35, It is, but it isn't marketed as a small car, like the Saturn and Buick Verano were.
