#14, Sound Practices went out of business in the late 90s... I have all 17 issues on pdf format though... it's a big file - but if you email me I can send it your way...
there is also a tube preamp called 'The Akido' which is getting some big raves - it would be a simpler project to start with - or bottlehead stuff is good too - http://www.bottlehead.com. For amps check out http://www.dynakitparts.com/store/product.aspx?id=1 for a full stereo 35 kit... it was the best sounding (17wpc) amp that Dynaco made.
