#3, Nobody needs that much iron, the car is fine, EXCEPT for the wheels, you can't tell me with a straight face they look good, nothing that big looks good on vintage cars

I'm getting tired of the modern-huge-diameter-wheels-on-an-otherwise-stock-old-car look, myself. They kind of destroy the period vibe. |

#5, IMHO, they just don't look good, on anything, rubber band tires on hugeass rims are an eyesore. THey're just bad on new cars, and blashpemy on old ones |

As long as the wheels are tasteful I'm happy, it's when they look like chrome blobs and get tucked under the fender that pisses me off |

My rule of thumb is (loosely):
Nothing bigger than 16s on a smaller car.
Nothing bigger than 17s on a mid-size/large car.
Nothing bigger than 18s on a modern performance car.
Nothing bigger than 20s on a smaller truck.
Nothing bigger than 22s on a big truck. |

#10, I'd put on smaller wheels than listed, myself, but I make allowances for other people's mods. |

#10, 17s for modern cars isn't very big. Most wheels that look "good" are usually 18s and 19 on today's cars. |

#13, Honestly, even though they're designed for them, I don't like big wheels on modern cars much, either.
For example, I think these are the best-looking wheels on the new Camaros. Pity they're only on the most basic V6 models, whereas SSs get huge-ass 20s and 21s: http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e.../0717001421.jpg |

I like the bigger wheels on bigger cars. I think 17s look small on the Camaro :( Those basic steelies are 18s IIRC. |
