Get me a nice GT coupe with a 5-speed, but I'd ditch the anemic 60 degree LA1 for a Regal GS L67 or I could just buy a Grand Prix :p

#8, oh yes. My friend's stock save for neons GT has a 5 spd. Nice little car imho.

If I was going to do a swap I'd ditch the pushrods and go for a nice DOHC design like the LQ1 or LX5. Engines with good amounts of horsepower and torque and decent tuning ability.

#13, I don't think it's worth swapping the whole drive train but it would be a cool project if one was so inclined.

sorry, but i can't look at a grand am without thinking it's an old lady car. there's tons of riced ones around me. one has a chopped up, primered primered grand prix body kit on it, and the entire car is 50 different colors
