Anybody think this car would give Buick a much-needed shot in the arm for sales and style if they brought it over here? Assuming GM survived long enough to do something like that and they weren't deterred by the unfortunate fact that mainstream car buyers don't seem to want American-branded Aussie cars. Damn shame, really.

#5, Heard rumors that the quick-fix plan for Buick might be: The redesigned 2010 LaCrosse, which amazingly does not look 10 years out-of-date like the current one. Bring over the Chinese Park Avenue/Holden Statesman and kill the Lucerne. Keep the Enclave, since that is the one bright spot. Bring over a small-midsize car from either Opel or Daewoo as a new entry-level Buick... Luxurified, obviously.

Speaking of GM... it really pains me that Saturn has a much better vehicle lineup in terms of quality than Pontiac (aside from the G8.).. but Pontiac has much better brand recognition and appeal... if it were up to me, I'd just take the whole Saturn lineup and rebadge 'em all as Pontiacs and kill the current Pontiac lineup, other than the G8. Ok, maybe keep the G6 coupe and convertible, as they're rather unique in the whole GM American lineup... but then, they could always just bring over the Astra Twintop to replace the G6 'vert.

#6, And so, 5 years later: LaCrosse... done and surprisingly not-bad even though I don't much care for the styling. Bring over the Park Avenue... yeah no. Lucerne's dead though. Holden Statesman/Caprice... is a Chevy. Keep the Enclave... done, with a refresh. Small-midsize car from Opel... done. Small car from Daewoo... at least a Chevy that's rebranded as a Daewoo in some markets... done. Another small car from Opel... because they totally needed a weird little Buick SUV thingy... done.

#12, I still like the Regal though. I can't get it out of my head that it looks like a redesign Suzuki SX4/Fiat Sedici. :/
