There's a dune buggy for sale near me, costs about 5 times as much plus and extra $500 for the trailer. It's got a Corvair engine and manual trans and is pretty beat from the looks of it.

Congrats on the purchase though, looks like you guys got a good deal. I wouldn't mind owning one myself but I just don't have the spare time to actually head somewhere to do some decent offroading or find property that ain't owned by some old coot ready to shoot you as soon as look at you. Have fun!

Well this one is not in as good as shape as it looks. We plan on pretty much rebuilding over the winter. The welds are really shitty looking and we aren't all that crazy about the sheet metal. For now we are just going to throw some spray can flat black on it and get it running.

#2, We got the sandpit near the trucking company here, as well as a bunch of sandunes being near the ocean. (actually the bay)

#4, Not much here within 10 miles, but if you're willing to take a bit of a drive you can find some areas where you can pull off some sweet jumps.
