The new Saran Wrap hood!! wow, it boggles my mind as to what people can think to do with plexiglass, and why they choose to do it is even more of a mystery!

Trooper has a link to the site of the people that make these hoods...They're not to be used while the vehicle is in motion...Gee, what a great modification to a car! One that makes the car immobile!

actually, I think its pretty cool...I myself would just save the couple hundred bucks and open the hood if I wanted to show off the engine.

Yeah, what's the point of these hoods? Opening the hood would have the same effect! And you're not supposed to drive with these hoods on your car...so again I ask, what's the point? (Other than showing that mommy and daddy have enough money to buy that WASTE of money for you.)

Why spend money for that, just remove the hood !
You even get a better air flow ! And everyone can see you lawnmower engine !

i would buy a clear hood if i had an engine that was worth showing off, which this one most certainly fails to do

Those clear hoods usually go on race cars when they're at shows, to let people see the engine without letting them touch it. There's always some moron who steps over the ropes and gets his grubby hands all over the engine otherwise.

It's a cool idea for shows... but why would you want to make it so easy to see this particular car's engine? It has none!

PS - Vote "1" for 1739 haha

Even if it worked while the car was running, aside from the fan and throttle link moving, there isn't terribly much to look at on a moving engine anyway, now, a clear engine BLOCK and HEADs, that would be cool.........

I had a model years ago of a "Visable V8" it was a 1:10 plastic engine model that the block and heads were cast in clear plastic, the parts weren't so they'd stand out, then you could hook it up to a tiny electric motor and it would slowly rotate
